Below are just some of the results we have achieved over the years:
- Designed and facilitated a process redesign and improvement program for a major regional private hospital. The program ran over 18 months during which over 20 managers were trained and supported running projects which involved nearly 200 front-line staff. Departments which took part included wards, emergency, catering, laundry, engineering, training and administration. Wide ranging benefits including productivity and quality improvements.
- Design and delivery of innovative, Six Sigma-based quality improvement education program with a major Australian bank. Approximately 100 managers were trained and supported over 18 months; over 800 staff were involved in the wider program. The program centred on building redesign and quality improvement capability amongst line managers. Wide ranging productivity, quality and cultural benefits.
- Facilitation of a waste reduction project at large Australian packaging manufacturer. This project included education of staff in Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Coaching of first-level supervisors through an internal review at a major regional hospital. This project included facilitating workshops and basic training in internal consulting skills and resulted in significant sustainable cost reductions across the organisation.
- Streamlining of a major education publisher's information management approach; streamlining of the stock ordering process between the client and their outsourced warehouse; identification and assistance with improvements to inventory control processes; review and streamlining of a complex royalties tracking process. All of these projects resulted in signficant cost reductions, improved quality and/or increased productivity.
- Development and facilitation of various half-day workshops for CPA Australia over a number of years.
- Redesign of client management process, including database design, for small fund management business. Quarterly processing time reduced by over 70%.
- Various keynote presentations and workshops on the role of simplicity in business made to service organisations, internal consultants, professional associations and businesses.
- Analysis and redesign of distribution order fulfilment processes for a large food manufacturer. Included introduction of simple technologies working with front line employees. Productivity improvement of approximately 30% in key process.
- Analysis, redesign and development of production planning system for a medium-sized pottery manufacturer. This work avoided large expense on an overly complex third party software.
- Analysis and redesign of order entry and planning process for a textile processor. Increased productivity of associated process by approximately 40%.
- Redesign of information flows, planning procedures and basic layout saw 75% increase in throughput for a freight trailer manufacturer.
- Redesign of overly complex scheduling system with a large cartonboard manufacturer. Resulted in 50% reduction in lead time to customers for top 80% of product volume.
